Meet the Baby Dragons of Our Story

dragonsChivalry & Chocolate

If you’ve been following our journey with Chivalry & Chocolate, you’ve probably heard us talk about Etchling, our sassy, chocolate-obsessed, impossibly dramatic dragon.

But Etchling is not the only dragon in our story. Not by a long shot.

Today, we want to introduce you to seven chaotic, opinionated creatures who stole our hearts during the writing process and very nearly stole the entire book out from under their elders: the baby dragons.

The baby dragons were not in our original outline. We had planned for Etchling and Bob (the magnificent ancient dragon who serves as Etchling’s former tutor) and figured that was plenty of dragon energy for one novel.

We were wrong about that. Adorably wrong.

Then the portal between the human realm and the dragon realm began to reopen. And through it tumbled seven baby dragons, each with a personality so vivid and specific that we couldn’t ignore them even if we’d tried.

It would be easy to dismiss the baby dragons as comic relief. They are, undeniably, very funny. A baby dragon fascinated by frosting or chocolates is inherently hilarious.

But they serve a deeper purpose in the story. The baby dragons represent what happens when two worlds learn to coexist again. Especially in a cycle of rebirth.

In our story’s history, dragons and humans have been separated. When the baby dragons arrive, they don’t carry any of that history.

The baby dragons’ story is just beginning. Chivalry & Chocolate introduces them, but the series has much more in store for our seven magnificent troublemakers.

We cannot wait for you to meet them in more short stories and novels to come.

Chivalry & Chocolate launches March 17, 2026. We are excited, grateful, nervous, and trying not to combust into cocoa dust! 🍫🐉
